Surf’s up~When the surf was up all the Hawaiian beach-boys would go out to play. Left to right Typhoon Spencer, Panama Dave, Curley Cromwell, Frank Tellis and Tom Blake. Taken using Blake’s camera from an outrigger canoe c1930. On Sunday’s Blake would call the waves at Waikiki “the blessed church of the open sky”.
